Healthy Chocolate (seriously) that tastes like unhealthy chocolate

Okay, I know this is different and random, but I am different and random, and I HAD to share this with as many people as I possibly could. This chocolate recipe I just made is TOO good to keep a secret. It is totally healthy and OH-SO-GOOD. You won’t miss traditional chocolate ever again, and the good news is, it is SO easy to make and takes no time at all.

So to start, here is the original post that I got this recipe from. I changed mine a bit though so I am going to share with you what I did.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Cacao powder (I get mine at costco or on amazon here.)

1/2 cup coconut oil

3-4 tablespoons of honey (depending on how sweet you want it. You may want to taste the mixture when it is heating to see if you want to add more honey.)

1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon

1 tsp of nutmeg

Directions:

Heat everything in a sauce pan until it starts to bubble. Add to any silicone molds you like, I used the same ones from the original blog post and I got mine here. The recipe fills both trays just about perfectly. I then put mine into the freezer for about 30 minutes. Once they are solid, you pop them out and enjoy them right away! These need to stay cold as they do melt quite easily.

My kids are obsessed and have no idea that these chocolates are anything different from the old chocolate treats they used to beg for!! SO, KID-APPROVED (Can I get an AMEN?!)

So now, all I can think about are all the fun ways to make these. You could add mint, orange liquor, amaretto, vanilla, and the list goes on!

Please let me know if you try this recipe and let me know what you think!

Xoxo! Stay Beautiful my friends,

Cassie

New Miracle Oils (Part 2 Balancing Oil)

Now it’s time to talk about the Balancing Miracle Oil! This oil was formulated with you oily/acne-prone babes in mind. I think most people are starting to realize that oil can be a really powerful tool when it comes to combating oil and combating acne. Our skin needs moisture, and nourishment. More times then not when you have oily skin or acne you are being pushed drying, damaging skin care products that end up causing more harm.

So why does this oil work so well for oily skin? Studies have shown that people with oily/acne prone skin tend to lack in Linoleic acid, and when its introduced back to the skin their oil calms down and the acne starts to reduce. So this blend is FULL of oils high in linoleic acid. It is also amazing at helping the skin repair and heal. So lets dive into the ingredients!

To view the listing for the Balancing Miracle Oil click here.

Safflower Oil- This oil is very silky and moisturizing. This oil breaks up impurities in the skin and blackheads. Absorbs very well into the skin.

Jojoba Oil- This oil (it’s actually a wax) mimics the skins natural sebum. When you are oily its because of some sort of imbalance in the skin, and a lot of times you are actually dehydrated so your skin over-compensates. So an oil that mimics this natural occurring oil in your skin can only mean good things at balancing the situation out.

Grape Seed Oil- Very high in vitamin E. This oil tightens, moisturizes, reduces redness and inflammation, and accelerate the healing of acne.

Hemp Seed Oil- This oil is super good for sensitive skin. People with acne tend to have sensitive skin. Hemp seed oil really helps with inflammation, is very balancing and moisturizing.

Black Cumin Seed Oil- This oil is super high in antioxidants. It is really great for breaking up scar tissue and its also a great anti-aging oil.

Evening Primrose Oil- Improves the cellular structure of the skin. It reduces inflammation and promotes elasticity.

Sacha Inchi Oil- If you are a picker this is a great oil for you. This oil really helps speed the healing time and calms down any aggravation on the skin. It helps strengthen the skin long-term and really moisturizes while soothes and calms.

Essential Oils in the Balancing Miracle Oil:

Tea tree- This oil is very purifying and is probably one of the most popular spot treatments for acne. Kills bacteria and calms redness.

Lavender- Calming, balancing, and anti-bacterial.

Clary Sage- Helps with irritation and is very soothing.

Juniper Berry- Anti-bacterial, Antiseptic, Astringent, and very detoxifying.

Some of these essential oils could cause premature labor, so I don’t recommend using this oil while pregnant, but as always check with your doctor.

Some of the essential oils in here don’t have the greatest reputation in the scent department. This blend, while I tried to balance the smell, has a more potent and strong smell but it goes away within seconds after you put the oil on your skin. I personally do not like the scent, but I am completely fine slathering this all over my face. Several people have told me they love the smell, so it’s all personal preference obviously.

SO since using this oil blend, my hormonal break outs are now just about nonexistent. My skin is so calm with absolutely no redness every single morning. Several people have told me their oily skin is no longer an issue and their acne is going away. I can’t wait to see how many more people this oil will help!

New Miracle Oils (part 1 Nourishing Miracle Oil)

Hello my fellow oil lovers! In this post I am going to go into depth about the new oils I formulated in my Miracle line. This post is mainly going to focus on the Nourishing Miracle Oil (hence the part 1) and another post will come focusing on the Balancing Miracle Oil.

So lets just start with why I decided to expand the choices of face oils. It sort of felt like the Miracle Beauty Oil & Serum was it, the best, the final destination in oils, the one and only. Until I started learning about other oils I had never researched. Mainly prickly pear seed, that oil, wow, basically I want a bath tub filled with it nightly so I can stay forever young. The more I learn about this oil the more I am blown away. It can do so much for your skin, and it has done so much for my skin.

So, the Nourishing Miracle Oil recipe started with Prickly Pear Oil, I knew I wanted that in a new blend. I began to pair it with other complimenting oils that were low on the comedogenic scale (won’t clog your pores basically). So heres some info/benefits on each oil in this lovely blend I call the Nourishing Miracle Oil…

To view the listing for the Nourishing Miracle Oil click here.

Jojoba- You probably won’t find a product from me without this oil. It mimics your skin’s natural sebum. I like this, its a good thing. We create sebum for a reason, to keep our skin soft and nourished. So why wouldn’t I use an oil that mimics that so well, doesn’t clog pores, and has SO many benefits for all skin types? Jojoba is actually considered a wax, which I find very interesting.

Shea Nut Oil- You would think this would clog pores like crazy, its a foggy and thick oil. Shockingly it doesn’t do that at all, but it still creates a barrier on the skin that prevents water-loss, so basically keeps your skin plump and very hydrated. I WANT PLUMP! I WANT HYDRATED! Because of what I learned about this oil, I call this the better version of mineral oil. Mineral oil acts like plastic wrap on the skin which is why you can have amazing success with products that use it since it is great at keeping that moisture locked in, buuuuuuut…. it also prevents oxygen from getting IN. So unless you want to suffocate your skin and cause some premature aging, opt for something like shea nut oil ;).

Pumpkin Seed Oil- Wow, this oil shocked me when I first saw it, it is DARK. Almost like a black oil, but once it is spread out its more of a very light green color. Pumpkin seed oil increases firmness, hydrates, and also is known for fighting off acne. Ill take it all, thank you sweet pumpkins!

Baobab- Comes from a tree that, obviously is called the Baobab tree, but it’s also called, “The tree of life.” Baobab oil has been used for a very long time, its great at soothing and smoothing. Amazing for super rough and dry patches, helps bring that glow and life back to your skin. It’s also amazing for your hair and smoothing out stubborn fly-aways!

NOW ON TO THE STAR OIL! Prickly Pear Seed Oil- This oil is pricey, so I basically need to become a millionaire to have my nightly bath dreams come true. Eight tons, EIGHT TONS (That is 16 THOUSAND) of cactus fruit makes only 1 liter of oil. This oil contains phytosterols; plant cholesterol that has been proven to not only STOP the slow-down of collagen production but it also ENCOURAGES collagen production. This is amazing news for anyone concerned about aging. We want collagen, we NEED collagen!

What else does prickly pear seed oil do for your skin?

  • Tightens pores
  • Nourishes with vitamin E and other nutrients
  • Reduces redness & hyper-pigmentation
  • Brightens
  • Kills free radicals (the bad guys that age you quicker)
  • It is super soothing

Now you can see why I am a bit obsessed with this oil.

So let’s finish up about the Nourishing Miracle Oil, it also contains three therapeutic essential oils, vitamin E, and rosemary extra. The essential oils in this one are greek lavender, rose geranium, and Hawaiian sandalwood. They are calming, moisturizing, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antiseptic, and they help reduce scarring. With this blend you get a very floral smelling oil. I personally find it relaxing and comforting.

My personal results from using this oil, my deep lines in my forehead are finally making a visible change and getting smoother and more shallow! It’s very exciting. My skin is hydrated and I never suffer with dry skin, my skin is also clearer and more radiant!

I use my Nourishing Miracle Oil in the evening after a serum, and before my moisturizer if I am using one. I have an extension skin-care routine, so you don’t even have to use a serum or a moisturizer when you use this oil. 2-4 drops is all it takes to get my skin glowing!

That is all for now my loves!

Sending so much love to you all!

XOXO,

Cassie
